Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in managing the movement of goods and materials within a company’s supply chain. Here are the main responsibilities typically associated with this role:

Coordination of Shipments: Logistics coordinators are responsible for arranging the transportation of goods from suppliers to warehouses or directly to customers. This involves coordinating with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

Inventory Management: They monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure adequate stock levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess inventory. This may involve forecasting demand, placing orders, and managing stock levels.

Documentation and Compliance: Logistics coordinators prepare and maintain shipping documentation, including bills of lading, shipping manifests, and customs documentation for international shipments. They ensure that all shipments comply with regulatory requirements and international trade laws.

Tracking and Monitoring: They track the movement of shipments in real-time and provide updates to stakeholders on the status of deliveries. This may involve using software systems, GPS tracking, or communication with carriers to ensure the timely arrival of goods.
