Warehouse Assistant

Description

Responsibilities:

Receive incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders or invoices.
Unload, unpack, and inspect incoming goods for damages or defects, reporting any discrepancies to the warehouse supervisor.
Label and store received goods in designated locations within the warehouse, ensuring proper organization and inventory control.
Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently, following order specifications and packaging guidelines.
Prepare orders for shipment, including packing items securely and labeling packages with shipping information.
Assist in conducting regular inventory counts and stock checks to maintain accurate inventory records.
Assist in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the warehouse, including sweeping, mopping, and organizing storage areas.
Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and according to company procedures.
Assist in loading and unloading trucks, ensuring goods are handled safely and securely.
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all warehouse staff.
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with warehouse operations.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software is an advantage.
Valid forklift operator certification is a plus.
