Senior Civil Engineer

Description

A well-established company is hiring an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead and supervise civil engineering activities, coordinate site teams, monitor construction progress, and ensure projects are completed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.

Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate civil construction activities from planning through completion.
Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and project documents.
Lead and guide civil engineers, site engineers, supervisors, and contractors.
Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and project management.
Monitor project progress, manpower, materials, and equipment.
Conduct regular site inspections and ensure work meets required quality standards.
Identify technical issues and coordinate effective solutions.
Monitor construction schedules and assist in achieving project milestones.
Prepare progress reports, technical reports, and site documentation.
Review material submissions, shop drawings, method statements, and technical documents.
Coordinate inspections, testing, approvals, snagging, and project handover.
Monitor quantities, variations, and construction-related costs when required.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, HSE procedures, and applicable regulations.
Attend site meetings and provide technical recommendations.
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to resolve site conflicts.
Ensure proper documentation and close-out of completed works.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Proven experience as a Senior Civil Engineer or similar position.
Strong knowledge of civil construction methods and site procedures.
Excellent ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Strong leadership, coordination, and project-management skills.
Good knowledge of construction quality and safety requirements.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.
UAE/GCC construction experience is preferred.
Relevant professional engineering certification or registration is an advantage.
Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
