Job Description:
Join our dedicated team as a School Bus Assistant and ensure the safe transportation of students to and from school. In this role, you will work alongside the school bus driver to maintain a secure and organized environment on the bus, ensuring the well-being of the students during their commute. Responsibilities:
Assist the bus driver in safely loading and unloading students, ensuring that all students are seated and securely fastened with their seatbelts during the bus journey.
Monitor student behavior and maintain a disciplined environment on the bus, addressing any disturbances or concerns with professionalism and sensitivity.
Coordinate with the bus driver and school staff to ensure that all safety protocols and regulations are followed during student pick-up and drop-off, including verifying student counts and identifying any potential safety hazards.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff, providing updates on bus schedules, route changes, and any incidents that may occur during the transportation process.
Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior, conducting regular inspections to ensure that all safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers and first aid kits, is readily accessible and in proper working condition.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience working with children or in a school setting is preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with students, parents, and school personnel in a friendly and professional manner.
Demonstrated patience, adaptability, and the ability to remain calm under pressure, particularly in managing potential disruptions or emergencies on the school bus.
Understanding of school bus safety procedures and a commitment to adhering to all transportation regulations and guidelines set forth by the school and local transportation authorities.
