Restaurant Supervisor

Description

A busy dining operation in Dubai offers an opportunity for an experienced Restaurant Supervisor to coordinate front-of-house activities, support the service team, and help ensure an organized and enjoyable dining experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities
Coordinate daily restaurant activities before, during, and after service.
Assign sections and duties to waiters, hosts, runners, and support staff.
Monitor table service to ensure orders are handled accurately and efficiently.
Check guest arrivals, reservations, seating arrangements, and table availability.
Assist the team during busy service periods and maintain smooth workflow.
Respond professionally to guest requests, feedback, and service concerns.
Coordinate with the kitchen regarding orders, special requests, and service timing.
Monitor cleanliness, table presentation, and overall dining-area standards.
Check food and beverage service according to established restaurant procedures.
Support opening and closing activities, including cash and operational checks.
Monitor staff attendance, grooming, punctuality, and workplace conduct.
Train and guide new team members on service procedures and guest handling.
Record operational issues and report important matters to restaurant management.
Assist with stock, equipment, and supply requirements when necessary.
Ensure hygiene, food safety, and workplace procedures are followed.
Help maintain a positive and professional atmosphere among the service team.
Requirements
Previous experience in restaurant, hotel, café, or food & beverage operations is preferred.
Experience in a supervisory or senior service position is an advantage.
Freshers with relevant hospitality qualifications and strong leadership skills may also apply.
Good knowledge of restaurant service and guest-handling procedures.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Confident in coordinating staff during busy service periods.
Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude.
Basic computer and reporting skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
UAE/GCC hospitality experience is an advantage.
