Ramp Handler

Description

A reputable organization is seeking qualified and physically fit candidates for the position of Ramp Handler. The role supports airport ground operations, including baggage and cargo handling, aircraft turnaround activities, and safe movement of ground-support equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Load and unload passenger baggage, cargo, and mail from aircraft.
Assist with aircraft turnaround and ground handling operations.
Operate assigned Ground Support Equipment (GSE) safely after proper authorization and training.
Transport baggage, cargo, and equipment between designated airport areas.
Ensure baggage and cargo are handled carefully to prevent damage or loss.
Assist with aircraft arrival and departure procedures as assigned.
Follow airport safety, security, and operational procedures at all times.
Conduct basic equipment checks and report defects or safety concerns.
Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the ramp area.
Coordinate effectively with ramp supervisors, ground staff, and other airport teams.
Follow flight schedules and complete assigned tasks within required turnaround times.
Report irregularities, damaged baggage, or operational incidents promptly.
Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow airside safety procedures.
Perform other ground-handling duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous airport, aviation, ground handling, warehouse, or logistics experience is an advantage.
Physically fit and able to perform manual handling duties.
Ability to work outdoors and in a fast-paced airport environment.
Strong awareness of safety and security procedures.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Basic English communication skills.
Ability to follow instructions accurately and work under time pressure.
Relevant airport or ground-handling training is an advantage.
