Purchasing Officer

Description

A company is inviting applications for a detail-oriented Purchasing Officer to manage procurement activities and ensure the timely availability of required materials, products, and supplies. The ideal candidate should have good negotiation skills, supplier coordination experience, and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities
Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery timelines.
Prepare purchase orders and maintain accurate purchasing records.
Coordinate with suppliers regarding quotations, orders, deliveries, and payments.
Negotiate prices and commercial terms with suppliers.
Monitor inventory levels and identify purchasing requirements.
Ensure materials and products are delivered on time.
Compare quotations and select suitable suppliers.
Maintain proper documentation for all purchasing activities.
Coordinate with accounts, warehouse, and other departments when required.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Purchasing Officer, Procurement Officer, or similar role.
Good knowledge of purchasing and supplier management procedures.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Good knowledge of MS Office and purchasing documentation.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
A relevant diploma or degree is an advantage.
