Description
We are looking for an experienced and creative Bakery Chef to lead our bakery team and produce high-quality baked goods. As a Bakery Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and baking of a variety of products, including bread, pastries, cakes, and more. Your culinary skills and passion for baking will play a key role in delighting our customers with delicious and visually appealing treats.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the bakery team, including bakers and pastry chefs.
Plan and execute the daily production schedule, ensuring that all baked goods are prepared on time and meet quality standards.
Develop and create new recipes and baked goods, taking into consideration customer preferences and seasonal ingredients.
Maintain inventory of baking ingredients and supplies, and place orders as needed.
Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards in all bakery operations.
Monitor baking equipment and machinery, coordinating maintenance and repairs as necessary.
Train and mentor bakery staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and creativity.
Oversee the decoration of cakes and pastries, ensuring they are aesthetically pleasing and in line with customer requests.
Collaborate with the sales team to develop and promote bakery products to customers.
Keep up-to-date with industry trends and innovations in baking techniques and ingredients.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Bakery Chef, preferably in a leadership role.
In-depth knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
Creativity and the ability to develop new recipes and unique baked goods.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
Effective communication skills for leading and training a team.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
A culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
