Accounting/ Accountant

Description

A well-established organization is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Accountant. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, handling daily accounting transactions, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring proper documentation of financial activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Record and maintain daily financial transactions and accounting entries.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and related documents.
Perform regular bank and account reconciliations.
Maintain accurate general ledger and supporting financial records.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Monitor income, expenses, payments, and outstanding balances.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
Assist with VAT calculations, documentation, and compliance requirements.
Maintain organized financial files and supporting documents.
Coordinate with internal departments regarding accounting and payment matters.
Provide required documents and information during internal or external audits.
Identify discrepancies and assist in resolving accounting issues.
Prepare accounting summaries and reports as required by management.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Previous accounting experience is preferred.
Good knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
Familiarity with UAE VAT requirements is an advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho, SAP, or similar systems.
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Freshers with relevant qualifications may also be considered for suitable entry-level positions.
