Job Description – Mid-Level Accountant

Position

**Mid-Level Accountant**

Reports To

Senior Accountant / Finance Manager

Job Purpose

To maintain accurate financial records, support daily accounting operations, ensure timely reporting, perform reconciliations, and assist in statutory compliance while following company policies and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

* Record daily accounting transactions accurately.
* Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
* Perform bank, customer, supplier, and ledger reconciliations.
* Assist with payroll processing and accounting entries.
* Verify and process VAT-related transactions.
* Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
* Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
* Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documents.
* Support internal and external audits.
* Ensure proper documentation and compliance with company procedures.
* Coordinate with other departments to resolve accounting issues.
* Identify and report accounting discrepancies or process improvements.

Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
* 3–6 years of accounting experience.
* Knowledge of accounting software/ERP systems.
* Good understanding of UAE VAT regulations.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
